Shades of Black & White

2nd September 2016 - 15th October 2016

Ceramics, prints & original artworks in Monochrome by Yuta Segawa, Kyra Cane, Shefford Smith & more

An exhibition celebrating the endless possibilities of using black, white and all that lies in between, in printmaking, drawing, painting and ceramic arts. This newly curated exhibition features an array of artists and makers whose work each challenges the idea that black and white is lifeless, instead revelling in the beauty of shape, form and tone highlighted through the process of using a monochrome pallet.

Showcasing ceramics from 'of the moment' maker Yuta Segawa, whose mini pots have taken the ceramic world by storm, alongside stunning works by potter Kyra Cane, drawings from monochrome-mad Shefford Smith and prints from the likes of celebrated artists Colin Self, David Hockney & Anthony Gross, this exhibition will feature a broad range of styles, media and scales uniting once again, 2D and 3D art forms in a suitably monochromatic Gallery setting.

Artists in the exhibition include: Anthony Gross, Colin Self, David Hockney, Derrick Greaves, Dexter, Florence Boyd, Jean Arp, Julie Fewster (of Inner Finn Ceramics), Kathryn Sherriff, Kyra Cane, Peter Coates, Shefford Smith, Salvador Dali, Tom Phillips & Yuta Segawa.
